Jeannine Bennecib is a French photographer with a main focus on photo-documentary and portraits.
She studied photography at the international school of photography Speos Paris and at ICP New York.
She believes in art as a catalyst for change, where photography is a means to make visible what is shadowed, to inspire and question our perceptions.
She is interested in communities cultural and societal aspects, she works on long-term projects on the subjects of exile, memory, transmission and identity.
Trained as a mindfulness meditation teacher, she also runs mindful photography workshops for children as a way to develop their ability to observe, explore and express creatively the world around them. In 2024, she founded a non-profit organisation les photographes attentifs to empower children through photography.
